Course objectives
- Understand and evaluate the basic concepts and role of the public and non-profit sector
- Obtain knowledge on the elements of public enterprise management, valorize individual elements of public and non-profit organizations management.
- To justify the position on the need and role of local self-government for the development of society and the community

Course content
Characteristics of the profit, non-profit and public sector. Triple Helix approach. The structure and scope of the public sector. Trends in public administration. Public sector and gray economy. Place and role of local self-government. Management of public and utility companies. Role, participants, and perspectives of nonprofit sector development. Public access to the public and non-profit sector. Development of public management. New public management. Measurement of organizational performance. Marketing in the public and nonprofit sector. Benefits of marketing and entrepreneurial orientation. Prerequisites for implementation of marketing and entrepreneurial orientation.
