Virovitica University of Applied Sciences was founded by the Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on 7th September 2007.
SCOPE OF ACTIVITY OF VIROVITICA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES:
- establishment and implementation of undergraduate professional study programmes in accordance with the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act and the Statute of Virovitica University of Applied Sciences,
- establishment and implementation of specialist graduate professional study programmes in accordance with the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act and the Statute ofVirovitica University of Applied Sciences,
- carrying out of theoretical and applied scientific activity within the scope of activity in accordance with the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act and pertinent special regulations
- establishment and implementation of lifelong learning programmes, adult education programmes and professional training programmes which are not considered studying in terms of the Scientific Activity and Higher Education Act,
- publishing activity related to principal activity,
- library and IT activity related to principal activity,
- retail of coursebooks and college course materials — stationer’s shop for students,
- organization of courses, seminars, expert and scientific conventions, as well as administering professional and other examinations needed for obtaining relevant permits, permissions, licences and the like,
- providing services to businesses and other public and private entities, with the aim of contributing to development and quality enhancement of the activity of Virovitica College, or a more rational usage of the College equipment

FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE:
Since September 17th 2011, Virovitica Virovitica University of Applied Sciences has been situated in the newly refurbished and modernly equipped building of the former army barracks in Virovitica with 2,832.57 m² of space available for different purposes (assembly hall, video conference hall, council chamber, lecture halls, IT laboratories, laboratory, library, students’ and teachers’ lounges, course materials printing office, registrar’s office, offices for the teaching staff, offices, server room, kitchenettes, archive, hallways, anterooms, sanitary facilities and ancillary rooms), furnished to modern standards and equipped with contemporary IT, communication and multimedia equipment, and requisite literature for the students and the teaching staff.
