Course objectives
- enable students to complete their graduate thesis by elaborating on a given or individually selected topic, independently using relevant domestic and foreign literature and respecting the basic features of academic writing
Course outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to:
- Identify the basic features of academic language and writing style
- Establish the principles of writing and the basic characteristics of the quality of graduate work
- To confirm the basic steps in the graduation thesis process
- Critically evaluate the relevance of domestic and foreign literature
- Compare the study literature
- Choose the most appropriate way to write notes
- Argue the structure of graduate work
- Evaluate an appropriate amount of documentation baseline (reference, note writing, use of illustrations, use of literature)
- Self-assess the final version of the graduate thesis
Course content
Basic features of academic language and writing style. Problems of plagiarism as the appropriation of another intellectual property. Principles of writing and the basic characteristics of the quality of graduate work. Basic steps in writing graduate thesis. Collection of relevant domestic and foreign literature. Studying literature and writing notes. Determination of the structure of graduate work. Writing a working version and determining the documentation basis for graduate thesis (reference, writing notes, use of illustrations, use of literature). Access to editing the final version of the graduate thesis. Binding and preparation for the presentation of graduate thesis.
