Course objectives

  • Understanding the importance of human resources and human resource management (HRM) for the realisation of competitive abilities and advantages of modern organisations as well as the importance of HRM for meeting the needs of employees.

Course outcomes

Name of the set of learning outcomes:  Selection procedure in the human resources management system Level: 6
  • Identify procedures (techniques) in the process of finding and selecting appropriate staff for rural tourism activities and recommend techniques for conducting interviews.
  • Structuring interviews and evaluating candidates based on interviews.
  • Recommend a system of personnel records and job descriptions in accordance with the education, experience and training of employees for specific jobs in tourist-catering establishments in rural tourism.
  • Establish job descriptions according to the requirements of the organization itself.
  • Evaluate feedback from the head of department in terms of business and work assignments of employees.

  • Assess the organizational structure of a tourist-catering entity in rural tourism.
  • Determine the level of education of full-time and seasonal workers as well as the qualifications of employees and assess the necessary training for employees.
  • To anticipate the need for recruiting new employees in line with the business strategy.
  • Develop employment plan, evaluate labor markets and choose recruitment methods, conduct recruitment procedures (interview and evaluation).

  • Assess the correlation of motivation with measurable goals of successful work and creating a positive working climate.
  • Validate the system of monitoring, appraising and rewarding employees in accordance with the guest satisfaction management system.
  • Support suggestions for the motivation of full-time and seasonal employees.
  • Assess the current motivation of employees in the business environment.
  • To rank employee satisfaction through the information gathering cycle, then analyze the collected information, create a proposal and implementation.

  •  Valorize the standard description of each workplace and the exact standards of appearance and efficiency of the work of the employees in tourism and catering facilities in rural tourism.
  • Ranking the methods of evaluating work performance from the quantity and quality of work performance, managing objectives and methods of assessment.
  • Support employee reward system through financial and non-financial awards
