Course objectives
- Give an overview of the new EU funds regulations and introduce students to the methodology of preparation and drafting of a project
- Gaining knowledge and skills in using back-and-forth funds from EU funds
Course outcomes
- Valorize the competitiveness of small and medium entrepreneurship
- Validate EU Funds in line with the new EU fund regulations
- Determine how EU funds can be obtained and then use them for the implementation of an activity
- Analyze stakeholders, goals and problems in a particular project cycle
- Create an application / project proposal including problem tree generation, goal tree, logical matrix, term plan of activity and budget
- Establish criteria for selecting potential partners in the project, compile and prepare acenterpriseing documentation with the main application (investment plan, business plan, etc.)
- Create bidding documentation and conduct procurement procedure
- Compile quarterly reports including performed activities, records of working hours, cost accounting and evidence,
- Explain the project implementation co-ordination procedure with local bodies for the implementation of EU projects
Course content
The economy in the strategies of the European Union. Competitiveness policy of small and medium entrepreneurship. Support from EU funds to small and medium-sized enterprises. Strategic framework for the use of EU funds. New regulation of EU funds. Directly managed programs and initiatives by the European Commission. The entrepreneurship network of Europe. Preparation of EU projects. Analysis of stakeholders, problems, goals and strategies related to the project. Project cycle. Project management and subcontracting. Grants. Returns (loans, bonds, guarantees). Provision of an audit trail in the implementation of the EU project. Monitoring the EU project in a budget system. Reporting and monitoring implementation. Examples of projects funded from EU funds.
