Course objectives
- Offer students an Anglo-American language tool for efficient and self-confident accommodation in various business situations in tourism
- Understanding and conducting telephone business conversations, short term discussions and effective business meetings in English
- Effective use of the structures and skills needed for active participation and / or tourist presentation in business situations
Course outcomes
- Mastery of advanced Anglo-American tourism vocabulary and structures
- Ability to participate in business simulations and take over roles
- Acquiring the knowledge and skills required to generalize the characteristics of good and bad business meetings
- Adopt a methodology of a courteous presentation of opinions, suggestions and arguments
- Adopting ways of accepting and rejecting a proposal
- The ability to argue the written / oral presentation of the individual and tourist attractions of the city, county and state in the business English language
Course content
The course will handle business phone calls, participate in discussions and business meetings, hotel and tourism terminology, tour guide and the basis of courteous work with guests in the business English language. Business skills will be refined with the use of state-of-the-art computer multimedia material.
