Virovitica College, as an ambitious and entrepreneurially oriented public institution, will become the leading regional educational institution in the area of professional and applied higher education, based on the concept of lifelong learning and responsibility for knowledge as a public good and thus significantly contribute to the development of the region and the Republic of Croatia.
Mission
The mission of Virovitica College is to educate professionals with prominent entrepreneurial spirit, ready for independent application of gained knowledge and competences which will enable them higher competitiveness on the labour market, as well as professional, academic and social mobility. Students, teachers, teaching assistants and the College personnel are the main force of Virovitica College because people are the most valuable developmental asset of any society. Target group for Virovitica College are secondary school graduates from the area of Virovitica-Podravina County and the neighbouring counties as students of undergraduate professional study programmes, and holders of Bachelor’s degrees from the Republic of Croatia and from neighbouring countries as students of specialist graduate professional study programmes. Virovitica College bases its teaching process on academic freedoms, promotion of quality and contemporary knowledge in disciplines which are compatible with its study programmes, and supports transfer of knowledge as the fundamental prerequisite for integration, development and cooperation with the economy and the local community.
