By acquiring modern equipment and accessories for the preparation and fusion splicing of optical fibers, as well as for measuring the transmission characteristics of optical links using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), Virovitica University of Applied Sciences has enhanced and modernized its existing laboratory equipment. This equipment will be especially valuable for courses in the undergraduate Electrical Engineering program that focus on the application of optical technologies in telecommunications and computer networks.
