Hackultet is conducted as part of the CARNET’s e-University project funded by the European Union through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness about the importance of implementing security measures and avoiding and correcting potential security vulnerabilities in software code, configurations, or other computer system components.
Participation is open only to students, in teams of five members, who have valid student status in the Republic of Croatia and are enrolled in the current academic year, as evidenced by the e-Student Status Record.
The competition is also part of the qualification process for selecting members of the national team for the European Cyber Security Challenge – ECSC competition. The condition for further qualification to the national team and participation in the ECSC competition is the age of the student – students born on January 1, 1999, or later.
To participate in Hackultet, the following steps are required by April 25, 2024: • fill out the application form for your team (one team member as the applicant lists themselves and the other team members (a total of five people)) • familiarize yourself with the Competition Rules • fill in all fields of the application form with accurate personal and contact information • accept the Rules by checking the box “I confirm that I am familiar with and agree to the rules of this competition” • accept the GDPR consent in the application form
The competition will take place from Friday, May 3, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. until Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., and only members of registered teams with assigned user credentials for accessing the competition can participate.
