As part of the bilateral scientific-research project MZO – NSF (Croatia – USA) titled Machine Learning Methods for Predicting Localization of Eigenmodes, led by Prof. Dr. Luka Grubišić from the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, our faculty member Marko Hajba visited the United States from October 17 to October 26, 2024.
During his visit, Marko Hajba had the opportunity to collaborate and exchange knowledge with professors and Ph.D. students at Portland State University, where his host was Professor Dr. Jeffrey Ovall. The visit also included attending a scientific seminar at the university, where our faculty member participated in lectures on October 18 and 25, further enriching his research perspectives.
This project represents an important step in strengthening international scientific collaboration and enhancing research approaches in machine learning methods.
