During the Erasmus+ mobility from September 9th to 14th, 2024, as part of the Blended Intensive Programme at the partner institution Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, Slovenia, students from Virovitica University of Applied Sciences—Filip Betlemović, Tena Knežević, Jelena Karanović, and Meri Furdić—had the opportunity to attend a series of interesting and useful lectures and workshops that significantly expanded their knowledge on various topics. The program placed particular focus on sustainable development in enterprises, providing them with valuable insights into ecological strategies that contribute to business sustainability.
Beyond the academic component, this activity enriched the social aspect of student life, as participants had the chance to meet colleagues from different countries, exchange ideas, and forge new friendships. They also explored the city of Maribor through visits to museums, lakeside walks, and enjoying the natural and cultural beauties of the area, along with participating in organized social sports activities such as volleyball and a trip to Lake Bled. These activities not only strengthened their team spirit but also created unforgettable memories that, as the students noted, left them thoroughly delighted.
Finally, the students emphasized that the financial support of the Erasmus+ program enabled them to fully immerse themselves in this experience, while collaboration with peers from various countries contributed not only to the development of professional skills but also to personal growth. Through lectures, workshops, and tackling real-life challenges, they gained valuable knowledge about sustainable business practices and addressing environmental challenges.
This experience proved extremely beneficial for all participants, and the students highly recommend the Erasmus+ program to others who are looking to combine education, travel, and international cooperation.
