At the beginning of May 2024, an Erasmus+ Info Day was organized in the living room of the Student Dormitory to inspire students of the Virovitica University of Applied Sciences to engage in international exchanges funded by the Erasmus+ Mobility Program.
During the event, participants of recent mobilities gave a presentation about the activities they attended during their time in Hannover, Germany. The experiences were vividly shared by third-year Entrepreneurship students Ana Blažev, Marija Devald, Daria Ledinski, and Lucija Volenik, along with Destination Management student and President of the Student Council, Filip Betlemović. The presentation was facilitated by Danijela Vakanjac, the head of the International Cooperation Center. They described the activities organized within the Blended Intensive Program at the partner institution Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft (FHDW) Hannover (University of Applied Sciences, Hannover).
Since this form of short-term mobility includes both physical and virtual components, students recounted how part of the preparatory activities was conducted online before their physical mobility to Hannover, which took place from April 22nd to 26th, 2024, as well as additional online concluding activities after their return from abroad.
Additionally, students shared other benefits and impressions from their mobility experience, recounting their experiences to their fellow colleagues, reasons for choosing such an activity, travel organization, and numerous other details of their Erasmus+ experience. They emphasized that it was an extremely positive life experience that will certainly contribute to their professional and personal development, which they will remember and share for a long time.
Of course, the distribution of interesting promotional materials was not overlooked, nor was the satisfaction of students with the lectures and presentations of their colleagues’ experiences.
In conclusion, we highlight the slogan of the Erasmus+ program: Enriching lives, expanding horizons!
