It can no longer be overstated the rising importance of our University not only on a regional, but also national level, since in the Magazine ed. 1048, with the topic ‘’Tourism: Veliko Otvaranje…’’, published as a part of Glas Slavonije, in addition to interviews with esteemed scientists and experts from the field of tourism such as doc.dr.sc. Damir Krešić, the Head of the Institute for Tourism in Zagreb, prof.dr.sc. Oliver Kesar, professor from the Department of Tourism in the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, mr.sc. Kristijan Stanišić, manager of the Croatian National Tourist Board, dr.sc. Danijele Angeline Jelinčić, scientific advisor with tenure at the Institute for Development and International Relations, dr.sc. Branko Bogunović, scientific advisor at the Faculty of Economics and Tourism Dr. Mijo Mirković in Pula, also published the interview with the Vice Dean of Development and the member of the Department of Tourism doc.dr.sc Dejan Tubić. The journalists talked with our Vice Dean about the problems of rural tourism and the challenges of positioning and competiveness of this specific form of tourism in the conditions of the global pandemic and in the post-covid period.
