Course objectives
- Understand how globalization processes affect international finances
- Gain knowledge of financial management in international business, taking into account potential risks as well as the impact of financial crises on business operations in the international environment

Course content
The process of globalization and its impact on finance. Management of the financial system of small and medium companies. Foreign exchange rate. Foreign exchange market participants, quotas, types of positions. Central bank intervention on the foreign exchange market. Currency risk management. International financial markets. Euro-currency market. Investing in securities in international financial markets. Returns and risks in international investments. International monetary system. International liquidity reserves. Sources and structure of Croatian international liquidity reserves. Financial crisis. Country risk.
