Course objectives

Develop competencies such as the ability to understand and use the modern German language in speech and writing in basic, everyday communication.

Name of the learning outcomes set:  General second foreign language and grammar structures in the second foreign language of the profession 2 Level: 6
  • Properly use  vocabulary related to a tourist sightseeing, cultural events, time, shopping
  • Properly use the verbal tenses to express the present, the past, and the future
  • Properly use passive structures in the business context

  • Arrange and plan (business) meetings in a conversation
  • Use the terms related to purchasing, pricing, and quantity correctly
  • Express satisfaction, dissatisfaction, enthusiasm or disappointment in the context of job selection
  • Design and properly formulate a biography

  • Know meteorological and climate terms, understand weather reports on radio or television
  • Understand a shorter professional business texts
  • Understand instructions on how to operate a device or decorating rooms
  • Classify key information in a text that talks about working everyday life

Course content

Sightseeing: Look, the beautiful cathedral! (Vocabulary, speech, writing); Shopping: what can it be?
