Course objectives

  • Indicate the purpose and importance of environmental protection and conservation, - analyze economic pressures on the environment and community resources,
  • To determine the role and importance of applying the concept of sustainable development in the development of human civilization,
  • Allocate measures and instruments that support environmental policy and sustainable development.

  • Identify the basic resources of development of a civilization based on natural resources
  • Assess the greatest threats, pressures and the consequences of human activities on the environment
  • Critically evaluate the validity of laws and regulations that ensure quality environmental management in the direction of sustainable development
  • Assess the effectiveness of individual environmental management systems

  • Establish the goals and purpose of introducing the concept of energy efficiency into business entities
  • Identify the priority energy efficiency measures in individual business sectors at a global and national level.
  • Critically and with arguments show the possibility and benefits of applying energy efficiency in business practice.

  • Identify and comment on the main environmental problems facing countries in the 21st century.
  • Critically analyze environmental protection policies and their effectiveness in protecting individual environmental constituents
  • Determine how certain regions with different levels of development face different environmental and natural ecosystem problems and the challenges of ecological business.
  • Identify the main pressures of economic activities on the site, individual constituents of the environment, the natural ecosystem and the local community.
  • Explain the concept of sustainable development and the possibilities of applying it in business practice.
  • Identify the role of management and knowledge in the implementation of nature and environmental protection policies.

Impact of entrepreneurship on the environment - social, economic and ecological aspect. Evolution of nature and environment protection. Ecological policy and causes and consequences of environmental pollution. The concept and history of the emergence of sustainable development. Principles of sustainable development. Legal regulation of sustainable development and environmental protection. Implications of planning and implementation of sustainable development. Environmental stability development: issues and trends. The link between entrepreneurial planning and pollution prevention and management policy. Environmental management systems. Energy efficiency. Improving energy efficiency in the entrepreneurship sector. Possibilities and perspectives of energy efficiency in the entrepreneurship sector. Theory, approaches and initiators of socially responsible business development (CSR). The uses and positive effects of CSR and sustainable development.
