Course outcomes

  • Evaluate the appropriate stakeholders and partnerships of both internal and external stakeholders in a tourism event.
  • Recommend suggestions of financial projections related to the event (grants, sources of income, cost / benefit analysis, etc.).
  • Develop a marketing revenue collection strategy with the inclusion of corporate sponsorship packages.
  • Use sales and promotional skills to secure support to a tourist event from individuals and organizations at all levels.

  • Select and design adequate space and monitor the allocation of content and schedule of activities by obtaining the necessary concessions and permits.
  • Create a plan for the implementation of the required infrastructure (gateways, signaling, insurance, etc.), to create criteria for identifying the most suitable space designers and suppliers and program makers.
  • Apply state-of-the-art technology (audio, video, and ICT) in realizing events.

  • Assess the potential of a tourism event for tourism promotion.
  • Assess the trends, needs and create an appropriate program and program logic for the target audience, to recognize the specificity of program requirements.

  • Identify and adapt to the cultural and individual diversity of the audience in the design of the program.
  • Apply knowledge of legal regulations, standards, copyrights, etc., related to program performance.

General characteristics of tourist events and manifestations. Specifics of events, manifestations and activities in the tourism offer of the rural area. The manifestations as part of the tourism offer of a rural area. Establishing organizational teams, setting goals and planning activities in organizing events in rural areas. Feasibility analysis. Planning strategies and promotion activities. Specificity of marketing planning and activities in the organization and implementation of tourist events. Marketing relations and CRM. Financing and budgeting of events and sponsorships. Human resources management and entrepreneurial activities in planning events and manifestations. Agreement between: organizer, client, coordinator and supplier. Sponsorship contracts. Specifications of a security organization in the maintenance of tourism manifestations and events.
