Course objectives
- To familiarise the students with the principles of financial management.
- To familiarise the students with the theory and practice of financing small- and medium-sized enterprises.

- Compose the company's financial plan.
- Critically evaluate the structure, sources and instruments of financing and recapitalization of the enterprise.
- Explain the terms of shares, bonds, loans and treasury bills, assess their value and the procedure for their issue, and calculate the market price of a company's shares.
- Optimize the borrowing policy and implement the company's financial restructuring.

- Critically explain the dynamic investment criteria.
- Find out the time value of money (future and present value of an amount or more periodic payments).
- Determine the real value of money and the impact of inflation on the capital cost.
- Recommend and explain the investment decision based on the investment project made by stages: project preparation, economic-financial analysis, economic-market assessment of the project, sensitivity analysis.
- Assess the operational and business risk of the project and calculate the opportunity cost of capital as - WACC.

Company finances (structure, functions, management). The financial environment of the company. Business objectives of the company. Deciding on financing. Enterprise financing sources. Current and future value of money (discounting, debiting). Financing of short-term and long-term securities. Financial and real investment. Financial efficiency of cash flows of investments. Types of investment decisions. Estimation of investment costs. The Influence of inflation on project cash flows. Capital structure and dividend policy. Capital investment planning. Risk capital investment assessment. Financial restructuring of the company. Analysis of financial statements and financial planning.
