Course objectives
After successful mastering the course, the student should be able to:
- Understand and understand the underlying concepts, principles and architecture of the BIS, with emphasis on tourism
- Describe and comment on BIS elements and subsystems in tourism
- Understand and be able to analyze the strategic linkage / significance of BIS in tourism
- Learn the elemental methods of graphic specifications and business process analysis in tourism through practical teaching

- To justify the criteria for optimizing the selection of ICT tools for CRM in a tourist-catering facility in rural tourism.
- Recommend a strategy and ways to implement the so-called “One to one" interactions with online communication platforms (social networks, etc.).
- Select the appropriate information technology to secure and organize CRM data

Course content
System concept, system approach and system analysis with application on business information systems. Concept, purpose and goal of an information system. Components of the business information system architecture. Business system - business processes, business rules. Construction and development of business information system - approaches, methods and phases. Specific methods / techniques: DTP, IDEF0, UML DA, ARIS. Parts / subsystems of business information systems with an emphasis on tourism and catering. ERP systems. CRM systems. Strategic planning of business information system. Analysis of practical examples.
