Course objectives
- Identification of operational and other EU programs for financing tourism projects from EU funds,
- Creating a specific project proposal for funding from EU funds for tourism projects.
Course outcomes
Name of the learning outcomes set: Preparation and application of EU projects

- Evaluate the program's system and priorities and evaluate areas and subjects of funding from EU funds.
- Compile the application / project proposal including problem tree design, target tree, logical matrix, term plan of activity and budget,
- Establish criteria for selecting potential partners in the project, compile and prepare accompanying documentation with the main application (investment plan, business plan, etc.).

- Recommend a project team for project implementation.
- Produce bidding documentation and conduct procurement.
- Build quarterly reports, including completed activities, records of working hours, cost accounting and evidence.
- Determine and implement the necessary dissemination and visibility procedures.
- Explain the project implementation co-ordination procedure with local bodies for the implementation of EU projects.
Course content
The economy in the strategies of the European Union. Competitiveness policy of small and medium entrepreneurship. Support from EU funds to small and medium-sized enterprises. Strategic framework for the use of EU funds. New regulation of EU funds. Directly managed programs and initiatives by the European Commission. The enterprise network of Europe. Preparation of EU projects. Analysis of stakeholders, problems, goals and strategies related to the project. Project cycle. Project management and subcontracting. Grants. Returns (loans, guarantees). Provide an audit trail in the implementation of the EU project. Monitoring the EU project in the budget system. Reporting and monitoring implementation. Examples of projects funded from EU funds.
