Course objectives
- Students will be able to understand and distinguish basic concepts in the area of information technology and to understand the rough principles of how a computer functions.
- Students will be able to independently use the computer for office-based business in a typical business environment.
- Students will master the most important software tools for formatting and processing text, spreadsheets, communication and presentations.

Development of digital computers, concepts and architecture. Code schema. Computer parts. Use of personal computers - settings, protection and maintenance. Programs and programming - concepts and programming languages. Software - types and purposes. Application software - types and purposes. Open source software. Internet and the web. Information society / economy. Types and Purpose of Office Software Tools (package). Processing and editing text documents. Presentations. Electronic mail and communication. Spreadsheets: term, concept and purpose. Basic use of PT. Advanced use of PT.
