Course objectives
Understanding the possibility of how to establish a business entity and how they function as well as the compulsory relationships someone can enter with a special emphasis on considering the legal framework for registration of tourist-catering facilities in rural tourism. Acquiring knowledge about the fundamental features of labor law. Acquiring knowledge about the potential and benefits of insurance in tourism.

- Identify all known forms of business structures from the aspect of founding and association.
- Recommend the procedure for establishing a company of a person and capital society with all the conditions (elements, bodies, aspects of authority and registration procedure).
- Select management models and powers of managing bodies within an established company.

- Establish and apply the principles and provisions of mandatory law.

- Recommend the administrative procedure and the role played in solving disputes that often occur in dealing with employees.

- Identify the legal framework and procedures for the protection of indigenous products with a designation of origin, geographical origin or guaranteed by traditional specialties.

- To anticipate specific risks and legal challenges related to tourism business in Croatia and abroad and which could be the subject of insurance.
- Recommend the concept of appropriate risk insurance and understand the role of insurance for a tourism business.
- Establish procedures and all practical aspects of the relationship between the stakeholders and the provisions of contractual insurance.

A merchant, a trading company, an individual retailer, an enterprise. Crafts. Branch. Branch office. Company. The headquarters of the company. Subject of business of the company. Representation of a company. Court register. Public company. Command society. Economic interest association. Joint stock company. A limited responsibility company. Simple limited responsibility company. Partnership.
Obligatory relations. Types of contracts. Prerequisites for conclusion of the contract. Irregularity of the contract. Funding for contract renewal. Changes in mandatory relationships. Termination of obligations. Purchase, lease, rent, exchange, concession, construction, commission, license, loan, legacy. Outstanding commitments. Securities. Payment instruments and legitimate securities in tourism.
Tourism contracts. Contracts between providers of tourist services and direct beneficiaries. Contracts between tourist agencies and direct service users. Contracts between travel agencies and service providers. Contracts between tourist and other entities that enable and / or facilitate the realization of the underlying service.
Terms of work. Conclusion of a labor contract. Work contract for a specified and indefinite time. Protection of workers life, health and privacy. Working hours. Breaks. Allowances. The legal regulation for the registration and operation of tourist-catering establishments in rural tourism. Ways and conditions under which legal and physical persons may carry out catering activities. Types of catering services in rural households, minimum conditions, categories (conditions, labels and the way of labeling and categorization of facilities for providing accommodation services), Determination of predominantly own production (dishes, drinks and beverages that are authentic for the end of rural household). Types of products that do not have to be from one’s own production. Labeling, advertising and presentation of food. Protection of indigenous agricultural and food products. Sanitary and veterinary conditions.
