The term MICE tourism. Historical development of MICE tourism, position on key markets and development trends. The link between MICE tourism and the hotel-tourism sector. The importance of MICE tourism for the development of a tourism Destination. Components of MICE tourism: Meetings (business meetings, seminars, trainings ...); Incentives; Conventions (conventions, congresses, symposiums ...); Exhibitions (fairs, exhibitions, shows ...). Influence of MICE Tourism on hotel-tourism sector, traffic, trade, public content and infrastructure. Market segments of MICE tourism. Planning in MICE tourism. Choice of event venue. Financing and budgeting of events - sponsorships and grants. Programming and event management. Crisis management in MICE tourism. Marketing activities. Final evaluation and reporting.
