Virovitica University of Applied Sciences was contracted by the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Areas and the Ecological Network of Virovitica-Podravina County to complete a project: the development of an Action Plan for managing visitors at the tourist-recreational center “Jezero – Hercegovac – Ružica grad.”
During the process of creating the Action Plan for visitor management, the project team (consisting of members from the Tourism Department) carried out essential research and coordination activities to assess the current state and development aspects of the thematic area. By analyzing both secondary and primary data in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, an activity plan was devised to support the sustainable development of the project.
The Action Plan has been successfully crafted and delivered to the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Areas and the Ecological Network of Virovitica-Podravina County, fulfilling the defined contractual obligations. By achieving the goals outlined in the Action Plan for visitor management, the long-term sustainability of the investment will be enhanced through activities focused on optimizing the utilization and preservation of the thematic area.
